Privacy by Design

Every customer gets their own dedicated, isolated database — not a shared multi-tenant system. Your visitor records are never mixed with another organisation's data. Requests are processed on Cloudflare's Australian edge nodes, keeping latency low and performance fast. Privacy laws in Australia are tightening, and every person who walks into your building deserves to have their data handled with care. We designed OchreKiosk with that in mind from day one.

Common questions

What device does the kiosk run on?

Any device with a modern web browser — iPad, Android tablet, Windows touchscreen laptop, and plain old smartphones. Most customers use an iPad on a lockable stand at reception.

Do visitors need to install anything?

No. The kiosk runs in a browser. For QR mobile sign-in, visitors scan the code with their phone camera — no app required.

Where is our visitor data stored?

All data is stored in your own dedicated Cloudflare D1 database — fully isolated from other customers. Requests are served via Cloudflare's Australian edge nodes for fast local performance. Cloudflare D1 does not currently offer an Australia-specific storage region; data at rest is stored on Cloudflare's global infrastructure in accordance with their data processing terms.

How is the admin panel secured?

The admin panel is protected by Cloudflare Access using email one-time passwords. No accounts to create — managers authenticate with a code sent to their email.

Can it integrate with our door or gate system?

Yes — using the optional Control By Web relay controller, a sign-in can trigger a door, gate, lock, or notification. We can also build custom integrations for most access control systems. Get in touch to discuss your setup.

Can I manage multiple buildings?

Yes. Each building gets its own isolated kiosk and admin panel. Volume pricing applies from the third site. Contact us for multi-site arrangements.

Is there a visitor pass?

Yes — visitors receive a digital pass via SMS when they sign in. The pass shows their details and includes a direct sign-out link. Included in all plans at no extra charge.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes. Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled at any time and will not renew. Annual subscriptions run to end of the billing year.
